It was working fine. I transferred it from my daughter's house in Louisiana to Texas, knowing battery needed to be replaced. I tried to crank it when reaching Texas and it would not start. I purchased a new battery (good) and it still would not crank. It will not even turn over. Where would a shortage be from battery to starter? Please help, grandmother in Texas certainly needs a little help.

Battery to the starter would probably be the solenoid check out this video on how to test it

If it's fine you might have a faulty safety switch.
