I found these drinking glasses in my grandmother's kitchen cabinet. I think they may be from the 40s, 50s, or 60s. I don't know what the gold emblems represent. A friend said the gold might be 22K or 24K, but I have no idea what they are or what company made them, I just know they are old. Thank you.

These, I believe, are highly stylized chess pieces. They are a MCM (mid century modern style), not sure if they are from the mid century. Do you know when your family may have acquired them? If it was the late 40s to late 50s that would be true MCM.
The trim may or may not be real gold and even if it is, that sadly adds no value because it is almost impossible to extract it for scrap.
Do you have other pieces--to have a complete set of the chess family?
I am still researching the company. Hopefully I can locate that for you.
Are you in the US?
Hello: They belonged to my grandparents or parents and I know they have been around since the 50s and 60s. I have 6 total, 2 of each of the ones I took a photo of, and 2 other glass that have another emblem on it. Yes, I'm in the US. Thank you for replying.
Thanks for the update. I would classify these as MCM then--which is mid century modern.
I belong to a Facebook group called MCM & Vintage Barware Whats Dis? (there are little bar glasses in the name but I am sure you can find it just by typing the name here.) You have to ask to join and I don't think you can sell there, but you can ask if someone knows the brand and can confirm my suspicion that they are chess pieces.
They look very British, which is why I asked where you were located.
Are you asking to value to sell? If so, once we get the maker, I can see if we can find examples of current values and I can offer tips on how to advertise, package, and ship or suggest other alternatives for you.
When you post, if you have the holder--these type of glasses usually came in a neat metal caddy, I would include a picture of that too. Sometimes the caddy helps ID makers.
Please post back what you learn! I am so curious. I am always so disappointed when I can't solve mysteries on pieces like this.
