I am crocheting a snuggle bunny and the two instructions:
#5. -9. Sc one round (24)
#18. -21. Sc one round. (12)
I do not understand the -9 & -21 in the pattern.

That means to do that same stitch for rows 5 thru 9 and the other is the same stitch for rows 18 thru 21.
gggd...Thank you I really appreciate the assistance. I learn something new everyday!
5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 have the same instructions.
18, 19, 20, 21 have the same instructions.
Judy....many thanks. I can complete my project now. Stay safe.
Can you take a photo of the pattern? I have been crocheting for over 50 years and have never seen a minus sign in a pattern, so I am not sure what you are looking at.
Is it a US pattern? Perhaps that is the challenge is those are the only ones I know.
Hoping I can help.
This pattern is pretty easy--simplycollectiblecrochet.com/
Although, to be fair, I have totally forgotten how to make the magic circle to start. Need to refresh my brain on that one. The ( ) at the end of each line tell you how many stitches will be in each round.
Pghgirl40 thank you for your help. The previous replies I've received explained the pattern and now that I look at it, it makes sense because it skips to the ending row explained to me. I learned something new today.
It has been so long since I crocheted that I had to put my 'thinking cap' on to even visualize these instructions so I'm glad that others were so quick to explain.
