Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - finishedHere is a fun way to turn a sink basket strainer into a mini hat for Easter or spring. This is a nice way to use socks that are missing their mate!

Total Time: 10 min.

Supplies:

  • 1 sink strainer basket
  • 1 small toddler sock
  • hot glue gun
  • stickers and ribbon
Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Gather your supplies. Wrap the small sock around the strainer.
    2. Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - wrapping sock around the strainer, view of under convex side
     
    Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - concave, top side
     
  2. Add stickers or anything you'd like.
    3. Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - add stickers to convex rounded side to create brim
     
  3. Use a hot glue gun to glue on the ribbon. Use a marker to press down hot glue.
    4. Upcycled Mini Easter Hat - hot glue on the ribbon around the crown
