When you can't squeeze any more lotion out of a plastic tube, save what is left inside by cutting the tube so you can dip it out with your finger. I trim the tube so the top will fit over the bottom and this keeps it from drying out. It works great for me.

This is another picture of how this works.
I've been doing this for years! Never let anything go to waste!
I use an office binder clip to fold and hold the ends together so it doesn't dry out until I can get the last drop.
I use this method on toothpastes, antibiotic creams, makeup, icings, whatever comes in a tube.
I have also done this with toothpaste and got an extra 5 days use out of it!
I've done this a lot also. I make my own ermine realizing toothpaste now, but when I used store bought, I would take my husbands tube when he was done and never had to buy any.
I was thrilled when I discovered this method of getting the last drop out of tubes of hand lotion (and every other product that comes in a tube). I was quite shocked to discover just how much product remained in the tube that I couldn't get out the normal way. I shudder to think how much $ I've actually thrown away by not being able to get all the product out (until now that is)
