When baking a meatloaf, place a piece of bread under it to absorb the hamburger fat and keep it from sticking to the pan. Throw away the bread when finished.

What a great tip! I have been making meat loaf for 30 years and never have thought of using bread in the pan. Dogs would probably love eating the grease-soaked bread, too. Thank you for posting, Momof1. (04/10/2008)
