Boil a handful of whole cloves in large pot of water. Let water cool. Pour on dog and let dry by itself. This is the "only" thing that has ever worked for me and I have tried everything over the years.

Here is another recipe for getting rid of the skunk smell:
*1 quart hydrogen peroxide
*1/4 cup baking soda
*1 tsp. of shampoo or liquid soap
Wash the dog with the mixture and rinse thoroughly. Do not get any in the dos eyes and don't save any in a container for it might explode.
I've always heard a tomato juice bath should help. Not sure, but thought I'd add this old advice.
