We receive a lot of junk mail. Instead of putting it in the trash, I go through it and tear off anything that would identify us and save the blank parts for scratch paper. The remainder goes in the paper recycling container.
I use it for grocery list, post a notes, scratch paper, straps instead of rubber bands for some things and other many uses.

I order books online at my library. Then they are arranged on shelves in the foyer of the library for me to pick up. Each book has a slip in it that is printed on one side with my last initial and the last 4 digits of my library card. These slips are blank on one side and measure about 8 1/2" by 3 3/4". They make excellent scratch paper for daily lists. Since I read a lot I always have lots of paper for my lists!
