The best way to clean Barbie clothes, in my opinion, is to put them in a knee high stocking and tie a knot it in. They'll get clean and will be easy to find in washer or dryer.

I don't like this idea because if you have more than just a very few to wash at a time, they will get wadded up in the nylon and not have room to separate and get a good cleaning. Instead, I put them in a mesh laundry bag. For tiny items, like her tights, gloves, hats, and things like that, the nylon would be perfect, then I'd put the whole nylon in the mesh bag along with the rest of her clothes.
My daughter and later, my granddaughters always had clean clothes for their Barbies!
I agree, the mesh laundry bag would be the best for this and anything you don't want to "get lost" in the wash. I use mine regularly for my socks, making them easy to find, and since I lay them flat to dry, because they always seem to shrink in the dryer, I just grab the bag(s), dump & lay out.
