Are your looking for a budget friendly alternative to pot saucers? Think plastic kid's plate! I recently was gifted this Castanospermum australe "Lucky Bean Plant". The cheapest saucers from Home Depot were 80 cents (very thin plastic) to $2.68 (still somewhat thin plastic) so I held off on purchasing a saucer.
Then, I found these sturdy plastic kids' plates for only .59 cents each at Target, available in 2 sizes and 5 colors! They are perfect with the raised edges to be plant saucers.
If you need plant saucers in these 2 sizes, they can work for you a low price of .59 cents.

Frisbees are excellent plant saucers. I often get them with advertising on them. They are just deep enough to contain any drips , last forever and are free
Wow, thanks! That's a great idea and so thrifty compared to buying the real thing. I would have never thought of that.
Brilliant! I have a bunch of the thin plastic variety. They do not last terribly long and are prone to cracking when moving the plant or from being in direct sunlight.
Repurpose ceramic dinner and salad plates and saucers. This idea came to me as I was preparing for a yard sale. I thought no one would want my less than perfect set of made in Italy ceramic plates. I purchased them at Pier One years ago but they are not microwavable. They are a pretty white plate with a basket weave all the way around. These would make for beautiful trays under patio plants or indoor planters. I checked online and garden centers were charging $11.00 each for ceramic planter scaucers.
