I have made several peach cobblers using canned peaches. When I drained the peaches I hated throwing the juice from the can down the drain. It seems like a waste of money, so I freeze it. I now have several frozen bags of sweetened peach juice. What recipes can you share that I can use them in? Thanks!

You might be able to use it to make 'jelly', just omit the sugar, and use the pectin products. I do know that if you bake, you can use the juice in place of the water or milk called for in the recipe. I did that just last night with some pineapple juice. Hated to throw it away, so I used it in place of the water, and just topped it off with milk, to make the volume of liquid required for the recipe. It didn't make a strong taste, but just made it a bit different.
wow i never thought about using the juice in place of the milk and with cornstarch to thicken thats awesome cornstarch is better to make the cobbler thick thanx
Use it in your cobblers. I thicken the juice with cornstarch and sugar and add nutmeg to my peach cobbler along with some pats of butter.
This is not really juice. It is very thick high fructose corn syrup and you really should just pour it down the drain. The liquid in "lite" peaches is pear juice with a small amount of high fructose corn syrup.
Pouring this juice or syrup or whatever you want down the drain is definitely not being thrifty but wasteful. Many uses exist for this as has been mentioned.
I've never tried this so I don't know the proportions, but it would make a great tea sweetener as in peach iced tea.
I use it when I make jello. Kind of depends on what flavor of jello you use but it would be especially good in peach.
Mix your peach juice with orange juice, pineapple juice or any tart juice. The blended juice is really good! It's also a nice change from plain, one flavor juice. I actually prefer the blended version so I mix all kinds of juices together. I started doing this in 1972 when I worked at a nursing home.
At the time it was just a way to use up small amounts of leftover juice but now you can buy some of the same combinations we made back then. The home had a very small budget so we'd have orange juice on Monday, pineapple juice on Tuesday and blended juice on Wednesday. The residents loved it and so did our bookkeeper.
My recipe uses the peach juice. I just dump the entire can over the filling. I would imagine you could use the juice to replace some of the liquid called for in your recipe.
As for the juice you already have - use it in smoothies, jello, or drink it. My kids always loved to get the extra juice from the fruit to drink!
I use the juices to flavour icings, add to Kool-Aid and use as frozen 'juice' cubes to punch up the flavour in orange juice at breakfast.
Make Peach Tea (hot or cold)
Use in Breakfast Smoothies with fruit or veggies
Make Ice Cream or Italian Ice (pour in shallow dish/pan and half freeze juice then take out freezer and rake with fork and put back in freezer to freeze - scoop in small dish - enjoy
