If the plastic wading pool is in good condition, take it to your local animal shelter. They use them to cool off dogs and give them a little recreation and a break from their cage.

We put a rope handle on one that was purchased just for the purpose of using it to drag heavy items around in the yard. I get a lot of usage out of it cleaning up the yard after a storm comes through.
We have two of these pools; a small one and a large one. I use the large one mainly for getting up leaves in the fall. It also comes in handy when we are shucking corn to put in the freezer.
