I came across an interesting find in my deceased father's garage the other day, a bunch of deerskin "shammies!" There were several of them. I washed them as they had car grease stains on them, but they were in excellent condition, and hung them out to dry.
Fascinating! You could clearly see the bullet holes in the skins where the deer were shot! I'm wondering if my father got them from my uncle Fred who used to hunt deer and have them processed. Anyhoo, I showed them to my brother and asked him what I could use them for. He said dad used to use them to wipe off the car, specifically, he used them to wipe off the windows. What else could I use these for? Anybody know?

They are useful for polishing cars, silverware, other silver, brass and such.
My husband had gloves made from them. He liked them as they were easy to drive in.
