Make a pan sauce for red meat with it. Or make a beef stew and use it to deglaze the pan.
Wine may go 'bad' to the taste but is still very good to use in cooking many things.
You can even mix 2 different reds in a container to save for later use.
I would not recommend mixing red and white but save individual containers of each.
I did find a couple of sites that offer several suggestions so you might want to read one of these.
Now if you want a nifty way to save wine after opened you need to try this.

If you have a blouse with a stain, you may want to soak it in the wine to dye it! I have done this with coffee and tea. All turned out beautiful!
Put in an ice cube tray and freeze it.
