Using Frozen Potatoes?

I have some potatoes that I have boiled then frozen. Do I have to reheat them or can they be eaten straight away after defrosting. I am looking to make potato salad with them or something similar.

I think they would be better cooked. The texture may not be firm like it should be for potato salad

As a general rule, boiled/frozen potatoes do not do well except in stews, soups or maybe casseroles.

Here is a clip from one site:

"To use these potatoes, don't thaw them, but boil them in water for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. Don't overcook them. Use these potatoes in stews, soups, salads and casseroles."

I'd boil or cook them again before ingesting. The texture will have changes massively with a boil/thaw.
