ZEP makes a cleaning product and a stripping product. I assume the discussions here about removing build up on laminate flooring are recommending the stripping product. The packaging says to follow use with a ZEP sealer. Is this necessary on a Pergo or other wood-looking laminate surface?

I have a wood laminate floor. I used the cleaner recommended, and my floor has a slight shine. I assume that if you strip off the wax that you will be left with the original shine. Try that, and then see if you need or want to put a sealer on.
i was always told to use a solution of vinegar and water for cleaning only...
The instructions that came with my wood-look laminate floor specifically said not to use vinegar because the acid would eat away at the floor material.
good to know... I almost used the vinegar on mine, lol
