Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts I have always thought it would be a good idea to have a small first aid kit in my vehicle. Have you seen how expensive they can be? Since I am a cheapskate, I decided to make my own from an empty VHS case and dollar store supplies. Now I can be prepared and it only cost a few dollars. Yay!
Total Time: Under 30 minutes
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- 1 empty VHS case
- markers
- 4 gauze pads
- 2 antibacterial wipes
- tube of antibacterial cream
- bottle of pain reliever tabs
- roll of medical tape
- 9 bandaids
- box of matches
Steps:
- Get yourself an empty VHS case. If you don't have one already, you can pick one up video included for pennies at a garage sale or thrift shop.
- Remove the paper insert.
- Flip it upside down. Using markers, make a label for your kit. I am no artist.
- Fill with your supplies.
- Ready to go! And this will easily slide under the seat of your car. Why the matches? They seem like a handy "survival" item.
