Can anyone tell me what a table like this one was used for and the approximate date? Value?
Thanks!

Mersman tables were made in the middle part of the 20th century. This table looks like it could be used for an office or any place where things needed to be sorted. Each little drawer could be designated for something.
These were used for hall or entry tables. I have found conflicting info about this version in my years of researching these. Some attribute this style to the 1920s-1930s production, but those typically have the numeric markings. This may be a 1970s/1980s before they ceased operation revival of the style (based on the mark).
I can't find a sold example anywhere to give you today's market value. I can tell you they are liked by flea market flip people like the link I have below, so I am thinking the value has is dropped to make it worth while to buy reasonable and paint up. For true value pieces, that treatment typically devalues it, unless the value is so low that the refresh gives it value.
I can tell you in the Pittsburgh area, this style is not popular, so I suggest you talk to a reputable vintage dealer in your town to see if they held their value in your neck of the woods. Post back what you learn!
