I have a complete four volume set of, "The American Educator" in good condtion. Copyright 1897. Can you tell me, what is the approximate value of these books? Also, would it be better to sell them at auction, online (eBay), or just keep them?

Since they are over 100 years old, they are considered antique. Make sure you get appraisals from book dealers so you know what they are worth before you sell.
This is strange as I cannot find any reference to this set earlier than 1933 and there is no history of this set on Wikipedia.
