I have a 1916 American Standard encyclopedia - complete 12-volume illustrated set. It is in good condition, no pages marked or missing. The spines are not in good shape. There are full color illustrations throughout the set. Is there any collectible value? Would it be worth waiting another year for the 100-year mark?

I think it is better to wait until it is over 100 years old. That is the time they become more valuable. However, you said that some of the books aren't in the best condition. This will take away from the value of your books. Other people who have books such as yours don't have issues with the covers of the books. They are receiving a higher dollar amount than people whose books are slightly damaged.
It is 101 years old now. Time to take to dealers for estimates.
