Is an entire set of 1993 Encyclopedia Britannica worth anything or useful to anyone or should I recycle?

Financially you would probably be better off donating it and taking the tax deduction.
Can you post a photo--front cover, binding, and the inside page where it give details (copyright info)? There are a variety of these out there and the only way to research is to know what set you have.
Thanks!
There are several different sets available so you may have to do your own research. This set is the Second Part of the 15th Edition.
You can check Google with 1993 Encyclopedia Britannica 15th Edition and check out the sites to see if any match your set. You can check under 'images' to see pictures of sets for comparison. When you have all the information about your set you can narrow the search with type of binding, color of binding and especially note the condition of the set.
Asking prices do not reflect the current value as only a sold listing will state what someone is willing to pay.

Here are current listings on eBay - with asking prices - but if you see a similar set you can place a watch on that set to see if it sells.

I did not see any of the 15th editions sold on eBay over the past several months but this changes daily so you can check out the sold link occasionally as this would give you current value.
These sets are worth 'something' but without a picture and more information it is difficult to give a current value range.
Most collectors will only buy books that are over 100 years old. The reason being is the information in your book is outdated now. You can find current information online and people do not really care much about these books now.
