I am interested to know what you think this dresser and rocking chair are worth? I don't know much about them except they are both very old.

Look on the backs, bottom and the inside of the drawers to get some kind of identifying markings. It will be difficult to determine age and value without them.
Hi,
I have seen these types of antiques go for $200.00 to $500.00 or more depending on the shape they are in. I love these two pieces!
Here is an article that discusses the type of wood used and the joinery of antiques and how to identify the age of wooden furniture:

if they are antiques they are probley worth a lot of money
Without a maker, it will be hard to give an exact value. The dresser looks like walnut wood with the spool swivel mirror. It has interesting hardware (which may be worth more than the piece itself--which sometimes happens).
If there is no brand, and the condition is fair, in Pittsburgh where I am they fetch between $35 and $50 if you try to sell it on your own. If you tried to buy it in an antique store, they would ask between $80 and $100 and would take as low as $50.
The chair also looks like walnut also, not in the best of shape, but it could just be the photos.
These also fetch very little where I am...under $100, sometimes as low as $10.
Now, these are values with out knowing the maker and exact condition. If there are marker marks (underside, back, drawers) and if the construction is solid, like dovetail finishes, hardwood throughout, and they are pristine, you may fetch more where you are. In some places, and some countries, old furniture has held its value and can do quite well at an in person auction setting or antique/vintage store.
I suggest finding a reputable vintage furniture store and asking them if they would buy outright or consign for you and the value they would ask. If you get 2-3 bids, you will get a feel for the value in your area.
Ideally, you could find the value on eBay with sold pieces, but these pieces are rarely listed because they are so hard to ship and pick up is a challenge. There are not a lot of the dressers around that are intact (which may increase the value in your area) because people used to chop them up if the mirror didn't fit or they wanted just a dresser and no mirror.
I don't see any comparable on any of my auction sites, so that would give a better feel for the national value. My values are based on my area only. Hopefully your market will be better.
Post back what you learn and the value you get for them!
