Valuing dolls is a challenge because they are only worth what someone will pay for them at the moment.
My recommendation when people are trying to value their dolls is to find the EXACT doll on eBay or another site look for prices.
The challenge is DO NOT look at asking prices, this only tells you what someone thinks they are worth (I can list something and ask for a million dollars, but if no one will pay that the item is essentially valueless). You need to look at SOLD prices--which is what someone actually pays.
The challenge with this method, is when a seller accepts best offer (like on eBay) all this tells the researcher is the person paid as little as 1 cent up through 1 cent under asking price--most sellers are not willing to disclosure what the buyer actually paid and all eBay tells you is best offer was accepted.
In that case, I usually start an item at 10% less than the ASKED price and tell people I consider reasonable offers.
There is one similar bride doll where someone is asking $125 plus shipping.
You may want to set up a watch on this and see if/when it sells and the value to value yours if yours is an EXACT match.

I don't see the sweetie in the kimono on now or sold so she will be harder to value at the moment.
You may want to check back to eBay frequently and see if there are new listings to watch or sold to find a value.
There are some similar but not quite the same as low as $10, but NEVER value based on similar....ONLY EXACT. I say this because often there are two similar items (by look) but one may be rarer or have a special appeal that makes it of more value than the other.
I hope this helps get you started on valuing your lovelies!

Pretty dolls but dolls are not really in demand right now and have not been for several years. This type of slump makes it a buyers "market" and dolls like this can be purchased for only a few dollars.
- In earlier years every little girl wanted dolls, not just one doll but several dolls and the companies responded and mass produced dolls of all sizes, shapes and nationality.
- Mothers and grandmothers rushed to the stores to purchase these dolls and sadly, most of this style doll was not always well made and usually way overpriced.
- Now there are thousands of dolls for sale all over the world that were once thought to be "collectible" and of course, led to believe that in a few years they would be worth a lot more than the original cost.
- Many of these dolls are now difficult to sell for $10 but it is possible a couple of your dolls may be worth a little more than normal.
- Oriental/Asian dolls sometimes have greater value than just run of the mill dolls. I did not see any of this style doll on eBay which is unusual and if it were not for the wooden cases, I would tend to believe they not Ashley Belle dolls. These 2 dolls may sell for $50-$60 but shipping will be costly so be sure to know this if you list them for sale.
- Bride dolls are still popular but there are so many available and higher end dolls are selling for low prices now.
- I believe the listing Pghgirl40 has is like your doll but it would be a real surprise if she sells for that asking price. Her name is Agnes - is that the name of your doll? You can keep a watch on her to see if she sells.
- Your larger doll will be difficult to place a value on because not too many of this size dolls are sold.
- Measure your doll and then check eBay with just porcelain dolls ?? inches and see what is listed and then what has sold. Even if it is not an Ashley Belle doll it will give you an idea as how they are selling.
- Here is an example of what mistakes an inexperienced person can make when trying to sell on eBay (or anywhere for that matter).
- This Ashley Belle bride doll was listed with a starting price of $.99 because the seller had no idea as to the true value of her doll and really thought it would sell for a lot of money. Sadly, the doll sold for just that $.99. The seller had listed a small shipping price which the buyer paid but the total cost to the seller would have been more for shipping as well as eBay and PayPal fees so the seller actually paid out cash to sell her doll.
- Dolls are very difficult to pack correctly and many are broken before they reach their destination. This will also cost the seller more money even if they purchased insurance (the seller always loses some money if an item is broken or lost).
- I am only trying to list some problems with selling dolls online.
- I much prefer to see someone list their dolls on their local sale sites - like Craigslist, IOffer, LetGo, OfferUp, 4Sale or any other local sites.
- Dolls can be listed at whatever price you wish and price can be lowered if no one shows an interest.
- Dolls seem to sell faster if the person can see the doll and does not have to pay extra for shipping.
- Good luck with selling your dolls - I hope they sell for more than the usual prices.
