I have a porcelain Ashton Drake Galleries doll, "Jesus Walking on Water", which I have had for many years. Could you please let me know the value and what to do with it?

"Jesus Walks on Water" is one in a series of "Jesus" dolls produced by Ashton Drake Galleries and unfortunately they just make too many of each type so the cost is sometimes high but resale value is very low.
- Most of these dolls (still in the box) have sold on eBay and Etsy (the largest doll markets) for under $25 and there is no way to determine how long these were listed (months for sure) before they sold.
- Shipping dolls like this is always tricky as they are very fragile and many get broken on their trip and insurance does not always pay as USPS determines if they think the item was properly packed before they pay and insurance does not cover cost of postage.
- Here is a link that shows this doll sales over the past few months:
- If you plan to sell your doll, I would suggest listing it on your local Craigslist and begin the starting price at $50-$60 and lower the price if no one shows an interest.
- Craigslist is easy to use (they show you how) and there is no shipping involved but always be smart and think about your personal safety and meet potential buyers at a public place.
- If you do not sell it, I would suggest donating it to a church or Habitat thrift store as they may have interested buyers.

Ashton Drake dolls are mass-produced and do not retain their value. Expect to get in the $25 range for it.
