It has a 1980s vibe. If I knew the brand, I maybe able to find it in one of my old catalogs.

Just my 2 cents worth--for pieces like this painting is probably the kindest thing you can do for it! Boxy wooden pieces like this rarely have a lot of as is value--and often times if you are painting to flip or keep, you are making improvements to it!
There are a few types of pieces I (personally) would never paint...but this type...I would....just because they were a dime a dozen when new.
