Hi! I love these! Can you clarify, is this the grape pattern? Is this 2 chairs, a table and 1 two-seater?

There was grape pattern set that appears to be identical to yours that SOLD eBay (NOT asking prices, but SOLD prices) at 760.00!! (You would fetch about $140-150 less if you only have one of the two seaters--the sold set has 2 chairs, 2 two seaters and 1 table (the two seaters alone have held their value)

See if your set matches this set:

www.ebay.com/.../113799839324?hash=item1a7effbe5c...

These are highly sought after pieces if they are true vintage, true cast iron, and in certain patterns, like the ones with grapes. The better the condition, the more they fetch.

I strongly suggest taking yours to a reputable vintage dealer and have him/her look at your item, verify what you have and the condition, and give you a price to sell them for you.

If these are newer pieces and lesser made cast iron, you will fetch less, but there is still value in the pieces.

Value will depend on what part of the country you are located (if US) and what country you are in if NOT US.

My understanding is they are highly sought after in the East coast beach towns from FLA to Maine. Not as much as in the central US, and again in the beach communities along the West Coast.

Post back what your set fetches and where you are located! Thanks for sharing these lovelies!!

If this set belongs to you then you are fortunate as this type of furniture has held its value over the years and will only increase in value as time goes on.

If this set is one of the original sets (and from the bolts it does appear so) I would venture to say you are very lucky as I believe your set will sell for thousands - no matter where you live.
The problem will be getting the set to an auction that has far reaching buyers of this type of furniture. A small auction may only net in the hundreds.
eBay would be a good place to start (with local pick up only or shipping arranged by buyer) to see what someone might be willing to pay.

I sincerely urge you to do nothing with this set until you find out its true value and that will have to be from very knowledgeable appraisers.
You may have someone in your area that is qualified but I really doubt it as this is not the type of stuff most antique dealers in your area will be familiar with. If you take it to a local dealer for information, they will most likely have to research and they do not usually do this for free.

You can get a head start with sending pictures to free online auctions to see what they tell you. Most will give you correct information (if you submit excellent pictures) and tell you what the may be at current value and also insurance value.
It is true that your area may not be the best for this type of furniture but I would not count on that being the case as antique/vintage iron furniture is a favorite of people all over the world.

This set is not the same pattern as yours but that is not unusual as many grape patterns were made over several years by several different companies in several different cities.
Check the seat of the chair and I cannot see the bolts clear enough to tell if it is a later made set. The small table is not cast iron but is aluminum.

However, this is from a reputable seller and they are not making it sound better than it is. Also, the original pieces did not have cross pieces on the legs. It does show that even without being completely authentic, the value is still there.

I'm really hoping you have a set designed by Coalbrookdale but maybe not?

www.thesprucecrafts.com/coalbrookdale-cast-iron-furniture...

If you look at the bolts in this chair you may find they resemble how your pieces are put together.

www.decaso.com/.../pair-of-vintage-cast-iron-garden...

I hope your set is worth more money but the only way to find out is to have a 'name' appraisal company authenticate it. But, even if it is not that valuable you will know for sure and maybe not regret it later.

It looks like you have a bolt missing from the back of the settee but that want make much difference.
If you decide to find out for sure what you have you will need very good pictures. Each piece should be set in the open (solid background - nothing else) and a picture taken of full front, full side, full seat (over the seat looking down), full back full bottom (showing bolts underneath). This is very important because the appraiser cannot see the real thing.
If you cannot take the pictures yourself, then have someone take them for you.
You should also state measurements to some degree.
Provide any information you have available as to how old these may be, where they were purchased (city/state) and also where you now reside.

You can ask for free appraisals from all of these listed sites so you will have complete story.

www.whatsellsbest.com/.../antiques.html

You can also pay $20 for an appraisal from Barnaby's.

www.valuemystuff.com/.../start-valuation

You will find many people do not know the difference between 'cast iron' and 'wrought iron' and will see pieces listed for sale in both metals.
The bolts also make a big difference in age of pieces.

www.ebay.com/.../113799839324?hash=item1a7effbe5c...

www.realorrepro.com/.../Lawn-and--Garden--Cast-Iron

I am not an expert so please ask about your set.
I live in Florida and this type of furniture is found in abundance but still is high value - especially when it is authenticated as the 'real thing'.
