I know its in bad condition but I just want to know if it's one of those hyped up coins they sell on QVC that's only worth face value?

The sold prices on ebay are 4.00 + 4 shipping to 11 .00 free shipping which averages to 9.50 minus fees. I took one in slightly better shape to a local shop last summer and got 3.00. I am a very long tenured ebay seller and but I will not do coins, purses, or clothing. Coins because there are too many issues with sellers contesting condition even when photos are clear. That would be my suggestion for selling. Good luck! Thanks for asking!
I don't see the 1960 date over "In God" or the 1985 date over "We Trust", so I don't think this is the original gold plated Double-date 1960-1985 commemorative coin that came in the blue holder. I think it is a plain 1985 issued gold plated coin. The real ones have asking prices on Ebay from $4.99 + $5.00 shipping up to $54.65 or best offer with free shipping.
Here is a list of values from 1964 to 2015. www.thesprucecrafts.com/
