I am trying to determine the tables' age, value, and if their original color was white? They were purchased at a thrift store. Thank you for any insight you may provide.

It is very possible that the end tables here original color are white. Dixie made some furniture that was white lacquer and also white grey lacquer. They were part of the Dixie Hepplewhite and the Dixie Chinoiserie Greek Key White Lacquered collection. Your tables look like they belonged to this collection and not the first one I listed.
Thank you so much for the info. I tried to research myself and could not find much on Dixie manufacturer for furniture. I am so glad you referred me to Chairish. I have previously visited the site when I bought a Lane cedar chest at a garage sale for $65 and it is on Chairish for $1600!!!
I'm not sure about these tables as I have not found anything similar to this style. I have a Dixie Hepplewhite bedroom set from the 1940's so I know they do not belong to this group.
Is this original? Difficult to tell from your pictures but you could look at the back, bottom of table and drawers for better clues as usually there will be some indication - such as over spray.
If not the original, looks like a nice job.
Since Dixie furniture can sell for high prices I would suggest you try to get an appraisal so you'll know what you have.
Most people say to take it to a local shop for an appraisal but I have never been able to find anyone in my cities that was very knowledgeable (had to resort to programs online for information) and want to charge a hefty sum for any information. For this reason I usually always go to online sites and have always had very good results.
You may want to think about doing some of these sites to see what they tell you about your tables.
If you wish to use them you will need different/better pictures as your pictures are limited.
Pictures needed for appraisal:
Full front of tables (level with tables, not from above)
Back of one table, full front close up showing drawer design/drawer pull, Dixie marking in drawer, full side of table, bottom on table, bottom of drawer, side of drawer (showing workmanship), top of table showing condition.
Your area will also have a bearing on the value as these would be expensive to ship and may need to be sold as 'local pick up only'. This style may be popular where you live or, maybe not. I usually look at local items for sale/sold in my local Craigslist and USA4Sale to see what type is listed/selling.
Here are some site suggestions for free appraisals:

This is a good site: cost is $20

Hopefully, another member, Pghgirl will add her information as I'm sure she knows something more about these tables.
Thank you so much for information. I truly appreciate your expertise and the sites you are referring me to as you have experience in that area. Thank you for your time!
Hi I have two matching Dixie bedroom sets I would love to sell a la carte. One set was mine and one was my sisters. My mother told me they were Italian provincial as opposed to French provincial because the lines are straight .
These are quite lovely Mid Century Modern tables. I did not find the identical tables, but here is some info of other Dixie tables to compare - www.ebay.com/
Well they range from a out $700 - $3,000
Can you explain how you arrived at the value and how I can sell them? And because this is probably not the original color based on previous feedback.
I believe these are yours and that they are not originally white:

That cantilevered shape is so cool!!!
These were original and were highly bid upon and sold for $150 in 2016--that was 4 years ago. Furniture values have dropped but this gives you a good starting point!!
Thanks for sharing!! Love the design!
WOW! Thank you so much and I learned a new word too! "Cantilevered" So my new question is should I leave them as is to try and sell. Does that decrease the value. Should I sand and stain back to original stain and will it increase the value?
I'm glad Pghgirl (she's very good!) found the original ones as now you do not have to wonder if they were refurbished.
I, personally, believe it would take an experienced craftsman to try and return these to the original and I'm not sure if your set might be more attractive to buyers than 'dark wood'.
Why not try your hand as is and if they do not sell then rethink about what to do?
I love the word cantilevered!! It is very Frank Lloyd Wright! I would try to sell them as is. Unless you are an expert at removing paint and refinishing you can end up doing more harm than good (I am speaking from personal experience here).
The value would be more if they were pristine in original condition, but there is a subset of the population that would want them painted and who pay as much as original.
Furniture sales are very regional and varied. Start high and take best offer or negotiate to a middle range.
If you are in a high supply, low demand area, you will get low or now interest. If you are in a high demand, low supply area you will have more room to negotiate up. If you are in a middle ground area, start high and accept what you feel is a fair price.. Value is truly only what some one will pay. A book can say it is worth X, but unless there is someone with X in their hand waiting to pay you (which does not happen much any more since there are so many venues to sell) I have learned a lifelong reseller to take what I can get.
Please know places like Charish and even Etsy people ask crazy high values but rarely net those values. Esp. Charish....there are coupons and discounts and sales and the price you see, the sellers rarely if ever realize that as a sold price. It is very misleading. When people want to do rsearch on values, I direct them to eBay solds if it is somethign they can ship, and then local consignment/retailers if they can't. I have been known to call a place and say what would I pay for (and name what I have) if I bought it at your shop, knowing that is retail (so to speak) and that if I sell it on my own at a flea market or yard sale, I will expect to get as low as 1/8 to 1/4 of retail. That is just how the market works!
Best wishes on your sale! VERY cool pieces!
You make me blush, cybergrannie!! Thank you for your kind words! Blessings!!
This website is awesome and so are you! What cracks me up is I am just trying to "purge" some items from my house and also sell contents of 2 bedroom condo. I noticed a stamp of "Bon Art" on lamps so getting ready to post those on here and two more paintings! I am not rich so I know I probably picked them up at a yard sale or thrift store. Thank you and I wish I had more time to play detective, but you are awesome!
I just found these pieces and wanted to show that reclaimed/refurbished pieces do still sell. I have found several similar sold tables redone in white or colors and it appears people like them - very clean looking.

It seems that Etsy has more of the refurbished furniture than any other site - many more than eBay.
Original color is not white nor a brown tone. Like a blonde color. My mother had these exact nightstands. My daughter currently has them. She also has the dresser and chest of drawers. I wish I had a picture.
I ended up selling the tables for $140 for the set.
That is awesome! Thanks for letting us know! That is great!!
I own this Dixie bedroom set. I bought the six drawer dresser, 7 drawer chest of drawers, and 2 night stands that match. When I purchased them used off of Craigslist they were totally original and an ugly light sunburst blondish grayish. I know I have some original pics somewhere I will dig up and post soon. I painted the entire set white. So the answer to your question is NO your end tables are NOT their original color. Although the hardware on your nightstands IS original. I'm not aware of their value, in fact, I'm curious about it myself. Nor do I know what Dixie collection this is from. What I do know is the nightstands, dresser, and chest of drawers is one of the coolest and unique futuristic sets I've ever seen! Good Luck, Please post any further findings about your night stands if you don't mind, as I am curious also.
