I have a set if Doubleday Encyclopedias copyright 1943. They are in pretty good condition. Are they worth anything?

Probably not very much.
This is a set by Grolier - Doubleday and I cannot find any recent sales of this set. I did find a set of 1944 for sale on Amazon but there is no way to tell how long it has been listed for sale as sellers leave books posted for sale for years and they may never sell.

You may have difficulty finding someplace that will accept it as a donation as thrift stores do not want them - take up needed room and hard to sell for any amount but occasionally for $10 as crafters will sometimes buy them if cheap enough.
I believe this set has pictures in black and white and this may be good or bad but nothing special about this edition that I can find.
These were inexpensive sets and were many times sold as a 'draw' in grocery stores with one volume each week for $1.00.
If you wish to sell them you might list them on Craigslist or another site that has local pick up just to see if someone is interested.
Start your price higher and lower it if necessary.
