I have these Encyclopaedia Britannica books in my house which was given to me by my old neighbour who passed away, and they're taking a lot of space in my house. 8 of them state "1768" and 1 states "1981. So I would like to see how much these books are worth before selling them. Are they real or fake. If real, then how much is it? If fake, then still how much is it?

The 1768 date is when Britannica company was first started, NOT an issue date for a set of encyclopedias. For your edition, look at the inside front pages for a publishing or edition date. Encyclopedias less that 100 years old, are NOT considered antique, and are only worth a few dollars per book in the set. The 1981 book is a yearbook only, and not valuable either. But it may be your edition's printing date. Even libraries don't want them anymore, even for their book sale fundraisers. Better to just donate to a thrift store - if THEY even want them.
These are 40 year old books worth very little. Donate them and take a deduction on your taxes.
Unfortunately they aren't worth much. You might consider donating them to a school.
Usually, a full set will be worth a small amount but 8 books do not appear to be a complete set so no matter the edition date, these are virtually of no value.
