I have a set of 1955 Encyclopedia Americana books. All 30 books are in excellent condition.

Sadly at this very moment, none are sold on eBay at various price points so the value is zero. BUT PLEASE KNOW THE MARKET VALUE CHANGES DAILY...SO TOMORROW THAT MAY CHANGE!!! Value in today's world is what someone will pay for an item. Not what any expert says things are worth. If people aren't willing to pay for something, no matter how much the "value" is, it has no value.
The internet has ruined things in some ways :(
I suggest checking back to eBay and watching some of the active listings and seeing the price the items fetches and how long it takes to sell.
As soon as it sells, that tells you current market value!
Here are the list of active...pick a few to watch!

Interesting enough, Amazon values the set at $100 (free shipping which drops the profit to almost half as the seller pays the postage:

I guess you could keep checking back to that listing and if it says zero in stock, you will know someone purchased it!
Thanks for asking!
Encyclopedias are not worth anything. We have too much technology, like computers.
Since this is not over 100 years old, it has not reached antique status. People get information off the internet now and these books are not in demand.
