I have several volumes of an eighth edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica. Can anyone tell me what the value of them maybe? Please send info as soon as possible as they are headed for the trash.

First I would question about the edition as the eighth edition was published in 1852 to 1860 and had 21 volumes.
Be sure you are looking at the cover page that shows the year published.
Condition is a big part of value and also type of cover.
There are sellers who list individual volumes but the asking price is usually $4-$10 and these may take a long time to sell. Sometimes craft people will buy an edition if it has a lot of illustrations but this is rare.
Thank you for the insight, will post them on the various social media's. Len:
Here are some facts about the 8th edition of the Encylopedia Britannica. www.britannica.com/
If what you have is actually the 8th edition then they are old and could possibly be worth a few dollars if you want to take the time to sell them. Most people don't normally buy a single book and collectors normally look for a set. You have not posted an image here so it is hard to see the condition of the books.
If you are planning on just throwing them in the trash why not take them to an antique book dealer and donate them instead. He may offer you a few dollars for the books and he may not. But at least you can donate them to an organization to help out instead of just throwing them away.
