Does this set have value? I believe each thimble has 24kt gold embellishments. The imprint on each one has the First Lady's name as well as " fine bone china Franklin porcelain limited edition 1978 fp". Thank you for your time.

If one of these sets is an exact match to yours, that would be the value today.
I hope you have one on the higher side.

It would have been nice if these lovely thimbles had retained their value and were worth even one-half of their original cost but, as with most 'collectible' items, these are very plentiful and mostly of lower value.
You do have the display case so that is a good selling point but may not raise the value very much.
It does appear that all of the sets (eBay) sold over the past several months have all been without the case but there are a couple presently listed for sale that do have the wall case.
Check sold listings often to see if any with a wall shelf has sold.

These sets are presently listed on eBay for sale. You can place a watch on these to see if they sell as they seem to be just like your set.

Replacements.com usually has some of these for sale but as of right now their site has none of these thimbles.

Selling is not as easy as it seems and you have to be very careful with shipping costs especially when you are shipping breakable items.
You might want to list your set on some of your local sites such as Craigslist, LetGo, OfferUp, or any site you are familiar with and list it as pick up only so there would be no shipping involved.
If you list on this type site you can start your price high and lower it if no one shows an interest.
