I am wanting to sell this grandfather clock and was wanting to know what I should ask for it? It is a 2000 Ridgeway Winston Grandfather Clock. There is nothing wrong with it and has the manual and the original receipt, that was purchased for $899 plus tax.

Did you look for the serial number label? It should be located on the back or the inside of the case, and it should be a "foil-like" label. The serial number might also have been recorded in the owner's booklet.
The serial number will give the year of manufacture as the first two digits.
Here is a listing for your exact clock, giving list price as $2152.50 and sale price of $1291.50:

There are thousands of different brands of grandfather clocks listed for sale online. This is usually a slow selling item and since is shipping is very expensive most sellers list their clocks as 'local pick up only'. This means the only potential buyers for your clock will generally live within a 50 mile radius of your residence.
You could live in an area that is interested in your item or one that residents would not take a second glance no matter the price.
What this means is you may have to list your clock at a higher price and lower it if you receive no offers.
You will need a model number (and serial number might help) and these could be found on your sales ticket or on the back or inside of the clock.
If you are saying this clock was purchased new in 2000 for $899 then it was probably a 'kit' that had to be put together. It does appear that your pendulums and other parts are in the bag inside the clock frame. Has the clock ever been fully operational?
Dismantled?
Used? preowned?
If this is how you intend to sell the clock it will lower the value considerably and most people would want to know that it is presently operational without defects.
As mentioned earlier, grandfather clocks are not usually fast sellers and may remain listed for sale for months/years.
I checked eBay's sold listings for Ridgeway clocks and only 4 have sold over the past several months. Three sold for approx. $100-$150, one sold for $342 and one very special model sold for a higher price.
The Ridgeway is the oldest grandfather clock that has been manufactured continuously in the United States.
Your grandfather clock was purchased in 2000, but that does not mean it was manufactured in 2000. The best way to identify your Ridgeway grandfather clock is to look for a serial number. The serial number will usually be located on a plate or foil-based label. These labels can be found on the back of the clock, on the interior door of the clock, or even inside the clock's interior rails. In some cases, the label with the serial number will be placed inside the interior section of the clocks back panel.
I found Ridgeway Grandfather Clock Model 9920, works fine, on sale for $299 www.ebay.com/
Ridgeway Grandfather Clock Model 9414 for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina, like new condition, full height 78 inches, width 18.5 inches, Oak Wood, the price is $600 charlotte-nc.americanlisted.com/
Ridgeway "Connoiseur' Grandfather Clock Model 308, no clock key, back of clock is screwed on and working order is unknown, with local pickup only in Asheville, NC was auctioned for $176 estatesales.org/
Ridgeway Classic Grandfather Clock - Excellent Condition 1970's was sold for $395 picclick.com/
Wood body of your grandfather clock appears in very nice condition, but the clock is judged not only by the condition of the external case, but also by the condition of the clockwork. You can write that the working order is unknown, but then the price will be low, since there will be few people willing to buy the clock.
Also, you will need to use local pickup only in your area, which means that you need to focus on prices in your area.
I have not found any second hand Ridgeway Winston Grandfather Clock on sale. Your watch has oak wood.
Ridgeway Oak Grandfather Clock with Moon Phase Dial, Mid to Late 20th Century with scratches, marks, nicks, and wear throughout case; tape residue and wear to back; discoloration and rust to some weights were sold for $ 100 www.ebth.com/
If your watch is in working order, then I think it costs about $ 800.
If you do not know whether they work or not, then most likely the price will be about $ 100-200.
