Your Lane cedar chest's style is usually called 'Waterfall' and it is one of the most popular styles.
Problems quoting someone a value with a heavy item arise because the final value will depend to a great extent on where the item is located. Your area may really like vintage items and may be willing to pay a good price while people in another area would not look twice at a cedar chest even if marked $50.
No one has any idea of how your area will respond to seeing your cedar chest listed for sale. Will anyone be interested? You'll probably just have to give it a shot and see how it turns out.
I did not find a chest like yours listed for sale or sold but there were 2 waterfall chests sold on eBay in the past several months.
Sold for under $300 (best offer?)

You will need to determine the date your chest was made. As a general rule, Lane chests all have a serial number and the age of the chest is determined by reading the serial number backwards.

This cedar chest by the Lane Furniture Company is made of cedar wood and walnut veneer. Lane chests are meticulously made with 5 layer / ply veneer on the tops or any drawers, doors, etc. The legs and moldings are solid wood and the interior is cedar wood. It is also called Waterfall chest www.worthpoint.com/
You have not added a photo with your chest serial number. This number of 6 or possibly 7 digits is usually indicated on the inside at the bottom. Often stamped onto the bottom it will be a 6 or possibly 7 number series. By the serial number, I can identify the date of manufacture of your chest. Usually "you can read the serial number BACKWARDS to determine the production date. For example: serial number 753150 would have been produced on 05/13/57. Some chests may also have an extra digit which denotes the plant location. For example: serial number 2557121 would have been produced on 12/17/55 in plant # 2. " - this is written on the Lane furniture website.
As you can see, the Month Insurance Policy label is inside your chest. This Insurance was active in the 30s-40s, possibly in the 50s too.
"Despite the Great Depression's grip on the country, Lane continued to innovate. On the heels of the aroma-tight cedar chests, Lane worked with the National Union Insurance Company to create a moth insurance policy. In order for customers to retain the guarantee of this policy, they were asked to return the card attached to the lid of every cedar chest. This card contained a variety of data points that allowed Lane to create a polling of customer trends and data.
I found a chest that is very similar to yours, with the same color Month Insurance Policy label (these stickers were made in a different color www.k-bid.com/
So if you can't read the serial number backwards, then the two digits at the end will mean the year of manufacture.
Here is another chest very similar to your, made in 1944, with the same color sticker www.worthpoint.com/
This chest was sold for $ 293 www.chairish.com/
This 1949 chest was sold for $ 170, but the description says it has a couple gouges, surface scratches / wear, changed latch.
This chest with the same sticker was sold for $ 250 ballardconsignment.com/
If your chest is in excellent condition, then its price can vary from $ 200 to 350, maybe even $ 450 www.ebay.com/
It's difficult to sell these chests online because shipping is outrageous. If you choose an online selling then use option with 'local pick up' required. But better use private sale or through consignment at an antique / vintage shop, perhaps a live auction in your locale.
It is in great shape. If is worth in the $225 range. If you read the serial number backwards, you will get the exact date of manufacture.
