You state your mower is 'a 30 year old' but if you are going to list your mower for sale you will need to locate the serial number and model number so you will know for sure what year you mower you have.
Here are links to help find this information as well as a number to call if you need help.

Year made and overall condition as well as 'running' condition will determine the value along with other factors. Mowers are usually listed for sale as 'local pick up only' as they are costly to ship and shipping companies usually want proof that your mower has no gasoline or oil before they will ship.
After you determine the true age then you should clean up your mower as much as possible as a clean mower usually sells faster and for more money.
Check some of the listings on eBay to see what type of pictures you will need as pictures sell an item - the more the better (good pictures). Be sure you have an uncluttered background in your pictures.
You can list it on Craigslist, USA4Sale, Facebook Marketplace, etc.
Start price higher - even $400 - with all offers considered and free local pick up.
