Can someone tell me about these awesome cups I have found? They are Meito china made in Japan; hand painted. What is the pattern called? What year are they? What is the value?

A cup and saucer of this brand is about $10 on eBay. You can send a picture fo replacements.com and they can identify the pattern and age for you. They can even offer to buy it from you.
Thank you, I never found this particular pattern anywhere online.
I was hoping it was because 1. They are older than I thought. 2. Making the a rare find.
Because this type of china is so fragile, that is probably why you don't find many of them.
The other challenge is most people who sell it, if it was not theirs to start (like they inherited or are trying to flip it for profit), they have no clue how to list it and then the Google/eBay info ends up muddled....like it will be called by the brand and some people will call it yellow roses, some sunflowers, some just yellow flowers, some yellow floral.
Sometimes it takes 5-10 different searches to find the comparable, sometimes you don't find them at all because it is listed in a way no one would think to search for it by.
Unfortunately, generally, most china has little value for resale....unless you are getting it for free and anything you make is profit.
The second challenge then becomes not losing money on shipping since you need to over pack fragile items carefully. Even though you have what looks like an original or a good box for them, I still would bubble wrap each, and then the entire package needs to have at least 3 inches with a solid packing material around it.
If you are not an experienced seller--be sure to change your eBay preferences to the Advanced Seller tool so you can put the actual box size and weight in the listing so you don't lose money on shipping.
Add at least $1.00 for handling also (a separate line item that comes on the Advanced tool.
The title advanced too is not for advanced sellers, but it is for everyone who wants to take control of their listing--like with mailing info. NEVER let eBay set the price or the postage amount for you. You will lose EVERY time!

This is wonderful information, thank you so much
I believe your pattern is listed on Replacements as MEI689 by Meito. There were so many patterns by this brand that some just got numbers and not names. I am sure the company (Meito) named it when it first came out, but I can't find it recorded anywhere.
I can't find any examples of the cups that have sold to give you today's value. You could be like other sellers and start them high, like $100 and take best offer.
Best to sell in a local venue since they are so fragile.
