What is the general value of a Mersman 23-7 in good/excellent shape? Is it better to restore it, or leave it alone if only for value's sake?

Is this your table: www.liveauctioneers.com/
If so, the value is almost nothing, sadly, as this particular style is not popular in most parts of the country. I haven't seen one sell in ages. This one is from 2019, they expected to get up to $100, it did not sell at starting bid of $25.
If you do great flip job on it you may actually increase the value!! That is not often I say that, but this particular Mersman style is one where it is worth more in a redo than original.
I say this based on Western PA and the posting I shared which is from Englewood FL. You may be in a place where this is a high demand item...but knowing resale, you are safe to have fun redoing it! Thanks for asking!
Yes, that is it. Ok, well, I'm into refinishing, so I'm going to give it a shot. At the worst, we have a piece I can put things on in a basement. Time can tell how one might want to find things in the future.
It's possible that your table would sell for $75-$200 if your area is receptive to this style of furniture but it may take a long time to sell.
The listing at LiveAuctioneers has some useful information as the auction had a tentative value of $75-$125 value but did not sell even at $25 (2019). But you will find a lot of information about the table and Mersman in their listing.

I also found some information on another site: JustAnswer.
I am not a fan of this site (and do not recommend using it) but they do occasionally have useful information.
The appraiser quoted a 'value' of $50-$80 (2/2021).

Judging from these listings it would seem that doing a make-over would be a good idea as I think something 'different' might make this table more desirable.
I happened to check for what type of remakes others had tried and came up with this:

I also like this make over although it is not a round table:

Hope you have fun and maybe send us pictures as you progress.
One recently sold on Etsy for $266. If it is in poor shape, I would refinish it.
