Value of Midcentury Leather Sofa

A yellow leather sofa.I'm looking for information on this Midcentury three seat light yellow leather sofa. Does anyone can find who made it? I want to sell it but have no idea of its price or its production.

Have you looked under the sofa to see if there are any tags or not on the sofa? Normally they will put a tag under one of the cushions or on the bottom of the sofa. If you can't find any tags I would go by other prices in your area and just list this as a yellow leather sofa and give information about the size of the sofa.

Check to see what other people in your area are asking for a sofa that is similar to yours. I am sure you can start off at $250-280 for the soda and see if anyone is interested. Give it a few weeks to see if you get anybody who might want it at this price. If not lower the price and list it again.

Cool! We had one similar in 1986. Ours was a 1970s hand me down. Not technically mcm which is late 1940s-early 1960s. The feet are definitely not mcm style so it may be an actual 1980s piece.

Are you sure it is leather and not naugheheide? Leather feels warmer to the focus and not as slippery. The base looks clean. I am very surprised there is no content tag on it. Is it inside the pillows? In some states you may be challenged if you don't have a tag. Best to research your state for the requirements on that.

If you have the tag that should give you more info also to confirm the age and materials.

If it is leather, in some markets these can fetch decent money...$2000-3000. Not all markets bear the same value. If is determined to be a brand it could fetch more.

I would work with a reputable vintage dealer and get his/her appraisal for your market. Not sure if those spots in the bottom are mildew. If so, that will devalue significantly, especially if it has any smell.

Post back what you learn! Thanks for sharing!
