I have a set of New Americanized Encyclopedia Britannica, (twentieth century edition) published by the Saalfield Publishing Company. The small print says, made by The Werner Company, Akron, Ohio.
I've found that this company published these encyclopedias from 1903 to 1907 (?) and was at some point, sued for copyright violations.
I have volumes 2-14. (volume X - ( tribu-zym) says "in ten volumes"", volume XI starts over with (Aachen-Cinque) and says "in fourteen volumes"). The books range in condition from OK to poor. They have beautiful maps that may be of value even if the books themselves aren't.
Can someone give me an idea of the value of these encyclopedias?
Thanks.
