I have a complete set of the New Book of Knowledge that is in excellent condition, from 1988. I was wondering what it would be worth?
Thank you.

Without a photo it is not possible to give a 100% match to yours for value.
Right now there are none on any of the sites I use, eBay or sites like Worthpoint that match the year and are sold.
My best recommendation is to take yours, type in the book name into eBay, click on the completed and sold button (to the left of the screen) and check back weekly to find a set that matches your exactly. That will give you that day's current market value as sold is what someone paid. Never us asking price because people can ask what they want, sold tells you what someone actually paid for the item.
Generally the "newer" encyclopedia values between 99 cents and $75 dollars. You will sometimes see them sold for 100 dollars, but if you look, these are "free" shipping, which means the seller pays shipping and since the money from the sale for postage goes to the post office not your pocket, you (the seller) net between 50 and 75 after postage and the various fees.
1988 is a recent set. People are only interested in antiques. I would say this has very little value. You may be better off financially donating it and taking the tax deduction.
New Book of Knowledge is primarily a set for children ages 8-13 or in grades 3-8th so this set would generally only appeal to someone with children (homeschoolers maybe?) or someone learning English as a second language.
