Hi, I have inherited from my parents a 12 place setting of Noritake China 176133 pattern; along with 2 tureens with lids, gravy boat, salt & pepper pots, large oval meat dish and a smaller one, and a teapot. Please could you tell me what they're worth roughly as probably looking to sell as not used and stuck in a cupboard. Many thanks.

When you say 'stuck in a cupboard' that kinda describes where so much of the vintage china still remains.
Large china services are really a thing of the past and it is difficult to sell a complete set. Also, shipping is very expensive and usually 'dangerous' as pieces are fragile and sets very rarely arrive at their destination without some breakage.
You will find that most sellers break up a set into small groups or individual pieces. Individual pieces (or groups of 4-12 pieces) sell more as some have the set and want to replace broken pieces.
Your service - Noritake Chatham #5502 appears to have been made from 1954-1964.
A big problem with your set is the trim is platinum which is not microwavable and it seems most of the younger set want this asset even if it is nice china.
Considered current Value:
91 pieces set (12 place settings plus extras) sold for $165 in January, 2021.

eBay sold listings:
6 piece place setting sold for $50 each plus shipping this year.

You can also check individual pieces on Replacements but your sale price would not be as high as theirs - probably 20-40% less.

The Chatham pattern is still selling on eBay. Recent sales are for a dinner plate, $10, 6 bread plates for $8, and $15 for a set of 4 cups and saucers. There are lots of solds--so look to see what you have and add up all the solds to figure out what your set is worth (in the pieces. Note--These are base price--and all included BUYER paid shipping.
So 3 things from a long time reseller (me):
1. Sets are super hard to sell, but piecing if off is much more lucrative.
If you have time, patience, know how to ship properly and are an experienced eBay seller, that is the way to go.
I used to sell dishes that way for years and it was usually easy money.
I stopped because of too much breakage (and I am a very careful packer--double boxing and such, so I am just putting that out there...perhaps you are a SUPER packer and know things I don't.
2. Selling pieces off in local venues is hard because of the limited audience. You could try a consignment store and see if they would piece off sets for you (like place settings) or if they would sell the whole set. This way you won't have people traipsing in and out of your house to look at the dishes.
3. You could try to sell them directly to a site like Replacements.com because again, people want one or two pieces to replace what they break or when their family increases, they need more place settings for a holiday table. People rarely want whole sets.
I have sold there also and they pay about 1/8 of retail (meaning of what they will sell it for, you get 1/8). You still have to ship to them and that eats into the profits. Follow the link on their website to get a bid sheet.
If you live near them, you can always take it to their business and sell in person (at least you could pre-covid.
Post back how your sale goes!
Your China has backstamp Noritake China with N in Wreath:
Japan Letter "N" as in "Nippon Toki" surrounded by a wreath ("Nippon" is an older word for Japan), crowned by letters "Noritake China", printed in black, laurel leaves in blue, ribbon in orange or in some case for domestic marks in gold (gold stamp or gold decal) both for export and domestic marks. Below, "Japan". A similar mark with an "M" in the middle was registered in 1933 and used until 1940.
The name of Pattern is Chatham (it is also written on the back): White / Pink Flowers On Branches.
176133 is US Design Patent. 5502 is the number of pattern.

Where I live this does not sell. I would ask $250 for it and adjust my price down until it sold.
If you live in the UK, then try to sell your service to chinasearch.co.uk. They buy tableware sets that are in excellent condition (used occasionally, not every day) dating back to the 1960s, not collectable figurines or antiques, and only buy and collect items from the United Kingdom. They are interested in buying a pattern like yours:

Or sell Noritake on high traffic auction sites, at your own yard sale, or in a consignment shop.
