Value of Noritake China?

Value of Noritake China? My husband and I inherited an entire set of these Noritake plates. I believe they were before 1940s. I did some research but could not find the pattern number. Was curious to more information on these pieces (picture includes only 1 piece of each type of plate/saucer, coffee cups are in storage) and what it may be worth if they were to resold.

The demand for fine china has rapidly declined. I had to donate a set of Rosenthal, which was very expensive new, because no one wanted to buy it.

Replacements.com calls this pattern N1590, I believe. Please double check since it is easier to see fine details and compare your piece to a photo vs trying to compare photo to photo.

If you go to the site these are the details if that is what you have:
NORITAKE, item#: 175801 Pattern Code: N N1590
Description: Green Scrolls, Florals, Scalloped
Pattern: N1590 by Noritake Status: Discontinued. Circa: 1915-

Values are a challenge as most people don't want the entire set and that renders them valueless as a set. Although, if you are in a big city that has halls or restaurants that still use fine china for events, they sometimes buy whole sets. I had such a deal almost closed 2 weeks before Covid hit in 2020 for a set of china I have been trying to unload for 4 years and they made an offer and delivery was to be the Monday they put my town on lockdown so she cancelled the deal. Ugh!

Right now there are thousands of pieces on ebay but none by the number. You could go through all to see if any sold matching by look. That will tell you current market value. Some Noritake still fetch decent piece prices which to me is anything more than a dollar a piece.

Some fetch up to $10 a piece. More for serving pieces.

If you are willing to piece it off, you may fetch the most if you have the patience...it could take up to a year to get it all pieces out... and want to list them on eBay and pack them very carefully so they don't arrive in a million pieces. Packing is critical. China needs to be double boxed with oodles of packing peanuts to protect them.

One other thing is examine the pieces carefully for any chips, cracks, stains or crazing and show a lot of photos of the flaws and spell them out in the headline, and body of the ad. China buyers are super picky and an overlooked flaw could result in a not as described complaint and them wanting a refund. I learned this the hard way and had it returned to me in a million pieces because they saw a flaw I missed and were careless in the return.

If you are game, you can always start high at 10-15 per piece for plates or bowls and list them as best offer and if you have platters or serving bowls, and do eBay, try 7 day auctions and set it for the least you would want and see what the market realizes.

Post back how it goes for you! Thanks for sharing!

You can upload a pic to replacements and and they may be able to help you. They may also purchase your china, as well:

Photos with backstamps are blurry, but it seems to me that there
letter M, written Japan at the bottom
"Pale Green 1935 Design Pat Notified June 1, 1935 and later Trademarked by Nippon Toki, present day Noritake" www.noritakecollectorsguild.info/.../ ;

Select Timeline 1930's and scroll down the backstamps, your backstamp is in the far right column.
If it is so difficult to find the same pattern, then check the prices of Noritake china from the same timeline.
