I am based in South Africa and have a set of Prince Charles and Lady Diana wedding dolls which has never been used or taken out of the boxes. What will the approximate value be should I wish to sell it?

You are lucky as most mass-produced dolls are worth far less than the owner paid. There is still a demand for these dolls. This pair is asking $140 and it is used. www.ebay.com/
Can you tell me what brand these are? When I blow up the photo I can't read the brand.
There are a number of brands of these dolls and some have value and some don't. I don't want to give you incorrect information.
When you look for value, it is important to check eBay's sold prices, not eBay asking prices. People can ask a million dollars for something, but if someone is not willing to pay that, the value becomes zero.
Once I know the brand, I can give you a better value on this lovely pair!
it appears your dolls are from the Goldberger Brother's brand and several are listed for sale on eBay (eBay is considered to be the largest doll selling site in the world) but I did not find any sold items under this brand (and very few sold dolls or items listed for this wedding). It would appear these items are not as popular as they were a few years ago.
You can check out any of these listings to see if they match your dolls. On eBay you can place a watch on a listed item to see if it sells anytime in the future.

This is one listing that you could watch to see if they sell as they do appear to be the same as your dolls. Asking price is &85 plus shipping.

You can keep checking eBay sold listings to see if exact dolls have sold as this would be the best way to determine current value.
Thanks cybergrannie--good sleuthing!!
I had hoped it was not a Goldberger. These, sadly, are the ones that have not held their value. They will sell occasionally in the $20-30 range, but the bulk are sitting UNSOLD on eBay in the $40 and under range. They sit for months on end. That makes me sad.
These (all of the brands of Di/Charles figures) were so hot when they came out. Everyone wanted in on the glory.
Sadly like most dolls and figurines, this company (and most of the others) just made too many. Also there were collecting snobs so since some were higher quality versions or ones that were deemed more lifelike or more desirable for one reason or another, some brands values just kept decreasing.
You could hold on to them and around an anniversary of Lady Di's passing August 31, 1997 (2027 will be 30 years), try to list them. Or around their wedding anniversary...July 29, 1981 (it will be 40 years in 2021) you may fetch a little more for them.
People scoff at that advice, but it is an "insiders" tidbit that works!
Thanks for sharing!
