I have a set of books, The Home University Encyclopedia, deluxe edition 1962. Could you please tell me what they are worth?

Encyclopedias that are under 100 years old generally have very little value.
Unfortunately I can't find an example of a sold set on any of my source sites. Finding a comparable sale of the exact set is the only way to get you today's current market value. Since eBay is the easiest way to look for sold items, you may want to check back periodically and see if an exact match of your set sells.
Typically most encyclopedias have very little resale value for what they are. Where there may be some value, is in the hot trend of junk journals where artists buy them for the covers and inside art.
They usually do not want to pay much for them (each artist values them differently).
Another secondary market is artists who make things out of them as a whole--like uses a stack to make a coffee table or lamp. That trend seems to be waning, but there are still a few die hard artists out there who do this.
If you have an artist cooperative or artists groups in your town, contact one of them and see if they would make you an offer (or let you advertise to their art clients).
Most thrift stores don't take them, libraries will not take them (in my town), and neither will consignment stores. Most--sadly--end up in landfills or in the town's paper recycling bins.
I am excited that artists are now doing something useful with these dinosaurs!! I hope they are in your town, like they are in mine!
Post back with an update.
