Hello, Does anyone know what the value of this sideboard might be? It was purchased near the Bronx, New York circa 30's?

I am not sure where you are from but in London, they sell sideboards online and the rice is very expensive. The lowest asking price I see on this one side is around 575 pounds. They go up from there and can sell way over 95000 pounds. Now if you check on eBay sideboards don't sell for that much at all. The basic sideboard starts at around 47 pounds and goes up to around 300 pounds.
I did not find the sideboard you are showing here and the image is not that good at all. I am not even sure of the wood that this sideboard is made from. I would suggest that you try and take some better pictures of your sideboard if you want to sell this.
Now you have this price you can try and post this locally in your area. Keep in mind advertising this online will mean that you need to ship this off to the buyer which will be rather expensive because the items are made of wood and look very heavy. if you sell it locally you can avoid shipping costs and the person can pick this up and take it with them.
Please review the answers that were given on your posting of the wardrobe/dresser as most of the information provided will be the same for this sideboard.

Are there any names or numbers/marks inside the drawers or back of the piece?
Your picture does not show this piece well and you would need several better pictures for anyone to be able to help.
Another member, Pghgirl may be able to tell you more than anyone else but I'm not sure that even she can do anything with just this picture.
Members here really try to help find answers to people's questions but the person asking the question also needs to provide clear and sufficient pictures of the item they're asking about.
Please post a clear full front & full back picture (if possible) of the complete piece. Pictures of the side/end and picture of open compartments would help.
A picture of the side of a drawer showing how drawer was put together also helps identify age.
Where you are located will also have an effect on value as shipping would be very expensive and how your area responds to this type furniture may be good or bad.
Please post pictures and I feel sure you will receive more information.
Hi. I am super confused. There is a really bad first picture that looks like a totally different piece than the second picture.
Are there 2 pieces you are asking for more info on?
You said the one piece is from the 1930s. Do you know that as a fact as you were the original owner or heard that from the original owner? Just curious.
Also, where are you located? You said the piece was purchased in NY. Is that were you are now?
How tall is the piece and how long is it? How wide?
Maybe with more info, I can help! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this full picture. Now, which picture best portrays the item" One picture looks bright and shiny and the second looks dull.
I'm afraid you may not understand what someone needs to do research - Are there any numbers or marks on the back of your pieces? Maybe inside a drawer?
I just do not see how anyone can help you if we do not have more information.
If you had better pictures you could post them on the sites listed in your first post and probably get some help in identify your pieces as these go to a much larger group of people.
You can also post pictures on this site:
Attached are more images. It has no maker name on it. I discovered the top drawer can double as a small desk with cubbies. I discovered the back is not in good condition and made of thin wood. Otherwise the piece is sturdy. I am located in CT, border of NY. Thanks for everyone's help! I couldn't find where to add these to photos to the original post therefore I am adding them to a response.
Thank you. There are no numbers or makers name. I attached more photos to determine age. I am guessing around 1930's as my Grandmother was born in 1902. The back is in poor condition, thin wood. Do you know the approximate name of the style of the piece? ie., Louis IV, etc, I have no idea, thank you.
This is a job for Furniture appraiser/dealer. You need to take all the pictures you can from every angle and show to the appraiser. It would be great if you could find maker /serial numbers or even a company name. it is worth it to find out and know it's history and worth.
