I have a vintage Truetone AM/FM stereo player with record player and 8 track tape deck. Are these stereo players worth anything these days? I am just asking because my mother had it like forever and it still plays the 8 track tapes and the radio still plays very well.
I don't know about the record player I think it needs a needle.Probably not very valuable as this brand - Truetone - was sold by Western Auto and they were on the lower end of this unit.
This is not to say that you could not sell it for more but that is probably a good value figure but if you want to sell it, I would suggest you list it on your local Craigslist and ask $50. Reduce the price if it does not sell.
If you get the needle fixed, that would bring more value. It's rather "in" again to have vinyl record players. Not many people have 8 track tapes, though. Check this link to match yours up:

You could probably get $80 for it if you had the needle fixed.
I don't know many people who still have 8 track tapes. I know many years ago 8 track tapes were very popular, but they did not last long. Most of the tapes got destroyed in the player or people left them in their car too long.
If you were to sell this it would be to a stero buff or collector. They might give you around 40 to 50 dollars for this unit.
The worth of record player with tape deck.
