I purchased a 12 piece Warwick set of china with a rose pattern and beautiful gold trim. It's about 80 years old I'm told. I would like to sell it, but what to know for how much.

You can set up an account with kovels.com. It is not free after the trial period, but if you have a lot of items to check it would be worth it.
You can also check on ebay or replacements.com.
You don't say which rose pattern, since there are several, so I will assume it is the one that is the Avon Rose--I don't think the others have the gold trim.
You also don't say how many pieces.
This auction has 48 pieces and sold for $200 on eBay:

Compare what you have to this one and that can help you figure out your price.
Now that said, packing these to sell on eBay and ship is a nightmare. You have to pack very carefully and the weight is going to be heavy and it may deter buyers.
Sadly you will probably NOT get that much if you try to sell in Facebook or NextDoor or Letgo.
You may want to sell them through an antique shop or consignment store. You will get less profit, but the pieces won't get broken.
If you live near Replacements.Com in North Carolina, they still, at least they did last time I inquired, have walk in ability to sell to them. If you were in the area you could take them and get the cash in hand!! No mailing!! They pay quite well!! I have sold to them many times and am always pleased with my payout!
Best wishes for your sale!
I had a Warwick set from the 40's. I gave it to a great grand daughter. I have another great grand daughter now and I am trying to find another set for her. Could you send a photo of your set?
