Many people think old Dictionaries have a value. Your dictionary is from 1928. Therefore, it isn't 100+ years old.
- There is a set of 2 Webster's International Dictionary from 1928 listed on eBay. The price they are asking is $25.48, but the shipping cost is $56.35.
- Shipping any book is rather expensive and normally shipping costs more than the book.
- When selling your book the most important thing to consider is the condition of the book. The cover, binding, pages determine the value of your book.
- Is your dictionary bound in reddish leather brown, with gold writing?
- What condition is this book in?
- This book comes up for auction quite frequently so it doesn't make it a rare book or one that is sought after often.
- At auction if this is in good condition it would sell for around $165.00, if it is in excellent condition it sells for around $200.00
- It is difficult to give you an exact price considering you didn't post a picture of your dictionary and if it is bound in leather or not. This is the closet I can give you for a price.

Value of vintage books - encyclopedias/dictionaries are popular question on ThrifyFun but it is not very often that a book or a set is very valuable as almost any type/publisher/age/year/condition can be found for sale on the Internet if searched over a 2 or 3 month period.
- Older dictionaries are sometimes an exception as interior decorators will sometimes buy one to set up in someone's home as a display.
- They do not usually pay very much but are not real picky about the condition and it is still a sale.
- If your dictionary is in very good condition then a collector may be interested but they really are picky and want a much better than average condition and will not usually accept a comment like "very good condition for its age".
- Your dictionary, if in good to very good condition may be valued at $30 - $65 but selling it for that price may take many months of listing on any auction site.
- The majority of book sellers on Amazon and eBay have hundreds/thousands of books listed and will keep a book listed for months and months (even years) as they usually have a warehouse for storage so it is not taking up space in a home.
Shipping a dictionary is not really expensive as it is shipped media mail (old book rate) but it has to be well packed or the box will fall apart during the trip.
Here is a current listing on eBay which sounds like it could be your dictionary.
