I have the 1964 set of World Book encyclopedias with study guide. It is time to let them go are they worth anything?

A person sold his collection with a study guide for $300 USD. If the books are in excellent condition, I don't see why you can't sell yours for the same.
I have a complete set of 1950 world books plus several years updates like 1951,1952,1953 and more. Would like to sell are
these books worth any thing?
If you could get $300 that would be wonderful. This encyclopedia is not antique. They usually are not worth much. I wish you luck, however.
Many people have old books they think are valuable and would like to sell. Most old dictionaries, references etc., have very little value, a few dollars at most. Encyclopedias dated after 1923 are essentially worthless but crafters may be interested for the old pictures. Libraries, Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc., receive donations of tons of old encyclopedias, dictionaries and reference books but send them to recycling centers or dumps as they cannot use or sell them.
They get more valuable after they've aged a century, depending on the condition. You could try putting it up for sale for a couple hundred to see if there are any biters.
There is a big misconception with the answer about a $300 value as the set they are referring to was sold in 2013 and the sellers had to pay the shipping which would have been close to $40 so that would be $260 but that is not true in today's market.
Here is a link to books recently sold on eBay (your set may not be in the group but it will give you an idea of sales).

My husband is a part time auctioneer, and usually these get thrown away. In our area, they are not worth anything.
